Chapter 7

Quests and friends

Quests, challenges, profiles, invites and gifts (hearts or plushies).

Daily quests

Today’s board has up to 4 quests: one fixed quest and three that change daily.

  • A bit tougher on Fridays and weekends.
  • A countdown shows when the board resets.
  • Each quest level pays EXP and often coins.
  • Some targets adapt to your target level and recent pace.

Long quests

Weekly, monthly and one-off quests, sorted by category.

  • Categories: community, study, writing, consistency, exams, listening, speaking.
  • Five difficulties, from “Easy” to “Master’s dojo”.
  • Completed quests show on your profile.

Challenges

Challenge a friend on any quest: the best score over 7 days wins.

  1. On a quest card, tap “Challenge a friend”.
  2. Copy or share the link, then send it.
  3. Your friend opens the link, signs in and chooses “Take the challenge” or “Bow out”.
  • A tie means two winners. Bowing out gives the win to the other person.
  • With no answer within 7 days, the challenge is cancelled.
  • Up to 5 open challenges at a time.

On the webOn the website, “My challenges” on the Quests page follows each challenge to its result.

Following members

  1. Open a member’s profile from a friend avatar, an invite link or a follower list.
  2. Tap “Follow”.
  • When both follow each other, you become friends.
  • A private profile can’t be followed.
  • Friend avatars show on decks, characters and your path. On Learn, the “Done by friends” filter groups them.
  • The Friends page, opened from your profile, lists who you follow and your followers.

Your member profile

A showcase of your progress, visible to signed-in members.

  • It shows your banner, rank, study languages, streak days, EXP, flames, lessons finished, completed quests, stickers and top 3 achievements.
  • Visible to members by default. To make it private: Settings, “Public profile”.
  1. On your profile, tap “Customize my banner”.
  2. Pick a color, a pattern, an intensity and a border.

Inviting friends

  1. On your profile, tap “Invite friends”.
  2. Copy the link, or share it from the app, and send it.
  • Whoever opens it lands on your profile and can follow you. Without an account, they sign up first, then land in the same place.
  • “Generate a new link” turns off the old one right away.

Sending a gift

A gift you send to a friend, a heart or a plush, joins their sticker collection.

  1. At the Konbini, in “Gift counter”, tap a gift.
  2. Choose “A friend” or “By link”.
  3. For a friend, pick them in the list, then tap “Send to” followed by their name. By link, tap “Make the link”, then “Copy the link” on the website or “Share the link” in the app.
  • Each gift costs 4 to 60 coins. Up to 3 gifts a day, links included, and one per friend per day.
  • Between friends only, which means you follow each other.
  • By link: works even without an account. Opening it makes you follow each other and delivers the gift. If it is unclaimed after 7 days, it is cancelled and your coins come back.

On the webOn the website, a gift you receive is opened from the banner on the dashboard, with “Open it”.
